Central Vacuums

Central Vacuums

Thinking of Including a Central Vacuum Cleaning System in Your Home or Workplace?
 Then Consider the Benefits:

The motors used in a CVC power unit are generally larger and more powerful and are located in a fixed position.

Because all of the vacuumed dust and debris is removed from your living areas and deposited into the power unit, there is no re-circulation of the fine dust spores that are evident when using portable vacuum cleaners. This is a major benefit to both children and adults alike in removing the harmful irritants that are responsible for causing allergies and asthma conditions.

In today’s modern insulated homes, the indoor air quality is often highly polluted with respirable fine dust. A CVC system removes fine micro-particles and dust mites and doesn’t recycle them within the home or workplace.

Despite the larger motor of a central vacuum system, they offer a much quieter cleaning experience and you’ll only experience low noise levels at the end of the cleaning hose.

Using your Central Vacuum System couldn’t be easier, the lightweight hose and array of cleaning attachments makes cleaning far more versatile and faster too.

Imagine not having to carry a heavy portable vacuum upstairs, but instead just a lightweight flexible hose and cleaning attachments, resulting in a faster more efficient cleaning experience.

Central Vacuum System Details

bvc motor
The system consists of a Power Unit which is located away from your living area in a garage, utility room or cupboard etc.

The power unit is linked by a concealed pipe and fittings are specifically designed for central vacuum systems.

A small number of conveniently placed inlet valves are located within a property and the valves are available in a range of colours in both plastic and metal finishes.

Vacuum hoses are available in a range of lengths and types with the most popular being the automatic hose which has on/off switching control on the handle.

A wide selection of tools and accessories are available, with specialist hard floor tools, turbo brushes etc.

Power Unit Overview

Manufactured in Germany to the highest standards, the BVC range of premium power units are considered as classics within the CVC industry.

Both the Silverline and Blackline machines are durable, reliable and are available in both analogue or digital versions.

The robust housing of the BVC power unit is made of electrolytic galvanised steel, with a powder coating. The S-series models are equipped with two sound-absorption rubber blocks on the wall mounting bracket.

Emptying the lightweight dirt canister is an easy task and it has a clear window reveal to enable dust level viewing. We can also provide complete transparent dirt canisters, if required.

Soft-Start Motors

High air Watt, through-flow Domel motors with soft-start technology ensures the quiet, phased start of the vacuum motor, with the benefit of less vibration and improved wear and tear of the turbines.

Analogue Control

The analogue units include an operational hour counter, which enables you to monitor the system use and regulate your service requirements.

Digital Control

Models with a digital control system offer you more comfort and safety. The menu in the digital electronic panel has five different functions which can be easily controlled with two buttons.

Depending on the menu that you choose, there are different display views and, at the push of a button, they indicate the following information:

1. Status: Suction capacity level and motor temperature.
2. Fill level: Filter filling level.
3. Leak test: Tests the integrity of the pipe and inlet valve system.
4. Malfunction message: Error messages in plain text.
5. Blockage test: Localises clogged pipes.

Three-Filter System

The power units include a triple filtration method for protection of the motor and for filtering the exhaust air up to 99.95%.

Modern filter technology within each machine ensures the maximum protection against dust allergies and enhanced hygiene levels.

HEPA 13 Filter

The High-Efficiency Particulate Air Filter is used if the exhaust air cannot be routed to the outside (e.g. in a passive house). The HEPA 13 filter cleans the exhaust air up to 99.95 percent.

CORDURA® Filter

The new two-layer motor protection filter consists of a CORDURA® fibre on the inside, which stops fine dust particles from entering the motor compartment. The satin fabric on the outside has a smooth surface, dirt simply falls off and is collected in the dust container.

There is a weighted centre in the CORDURA® filter and, when vacuuming, the filter is pulled up by the underpressure. Due to the weighted centre, the filter falls back into the dust container after the dust particles fall off into the dirt container.

Disposable Filter Bag

Disposable fleece filter bags are crucial for hygienic and comfortable dust disposal. The filter bag has a volume capacity of 16 litres. The BVC inverted CORDURA® filtration system allows the power unit to operate both with or without a disposable filter bag. The choice is up to you!

Central Vacuum Servicing

We service a wide range of central vacuum systems throughout the UK, and supply the system spares: Motors, Protection Filters, PCB's, Seals and other associated items.

To maintain the maximum cleaning performance of your vacuum system, it's very important to have a central vacuum machine serviced every four years, or 200 hours of use.

Many of the older central vacuum systems in the UK, have yet to be serviced and in some intances, the suppliers of the popular brands are no longer trading, and as such, it can be difficult to source the principal spare parts required, to maintain a good working machine.
